San Diego’s Top Things to Do August 16-28

Join us in San Diego over the next two weeks and experience these top things to do in the region, including biking over the San Diego Coronado Bridge, relaxing on 70 miles of beautiful coastline, sipping cold craft beers and so much more. 

When: August 19, 2022 
The Best of San Diego Party is the ultimate summer celebration. The event brings together the top local restaurants, breweries, wineries, distilleries and businesses as featured in San Diego Magazine’s Best Restaurants and Best of San Diego issues. Guests can expect unlimited bites and sips from more than 100 vendors along with live entertainment, vibrant photo-ops, relaxing lounge space, dancing and more. 

When: August 19 – September 11, 2022 
SeaWorld® is serving up an incredible party for craft beer lovers. SeaWorld’s Craft Beer Festival features more than 100 crafts brews, wines, seltzers, and cocktails. Sample an unbeatable mix of domestic and local California favorites. Plus savor more than 20 food items expertly paired to match your preferred brew. And to top it all off, festive entertainment will keep the party going all day long. 

When: August 20, 2022 

Beer X is a day of great music and craft beer at Waterfront Park. Two hours of unlimited samples of over 100 craft beers from 50 local and regional breweries. Full bar service, delicious food from San Diego’s favorite restaurants, live music, and all festival attractions will be open for all hours. 

When: August 24 – September 11, 2022

More than 100 million people around the world have experienced the awe-inspiring visual artistry, the unforgettable music, and the uniquely theatrical storytelling of this Broadway spectacular – one of the most breathtaking and beloved productions ever to grace the stage. 

When: August 26 – 27, 2022 
The Julian StarFest will once again grace the dark skies of the Menghini Winery in Julian. The 2022 festival will include fan favorites from the past such as, many of the Free public star party on Saturday night, exhibits by major telescope and accessory vendors, food and beverage vendors and so much more. There will even be a behind the scenes tour of the world-famous Palomar Observatory available to a limited number of people. 

When: August 27, 2022 
The Escondido “mothership” is hosting an epic affair at a size and scale never-before-seen at this location! They’re taking over the entire Bistro & beyond for the main celebration. Hardcore Stone fans can join the Rare Beer session, which includes an exclusive beer list and festival area in the gardens PLUS early admission to the main event. 

When: August 27, 2022 
Fantastic Live Bands, DJ’s and Dancing, Artisans galore with Great Food, Beverages and Cocktails throughout the event, Beach Activities, and much more! 

When: August 28, 2022 
Bike the Bay is back! Ride from the comfort of your own saddle, at your own pace, on your own time. Proceeds from the Bike the Bay ride will benefit the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition (SDCBC), a non-profit organization dedicated to making bicycling better in San Diego. This non-competitive community bike ride is for riders of all abilities and will take you on a scenic, and primarily flat ride, around the San Diego Bay via the Bayshore Bikeway
