Who’s the oldest manager to win the World Series?

Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker and Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker are both up there in age, but neither can make history as the oldest manager to win the World Series this year.

With the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves present in the 2021 World Series, they happen to have two of the oldest managers to make it this far in a season with them. Both Braves manager Brian Snitker, at 66-years-old, and Astros manager Dusty Baker, at 72-years-old, are seasoned and experienced managers.

As it turns out, Baker actually happens to be the second-oldest manager to ever make it to the World Series. And should he and Houston come out on top of this particular series, Baker would be the second-oldest manager to ever win it.

But who is number one on that list? Who happens to be the oldest manager to ever win a World Series? When did they win it?

Who is the oldest manager to win a World Series?

That would be Jack McKeon, who was the manager of the Florida Marlins, when he won the World Series back in 2003. During that series, McKeon and the Marlins beat the New York Yankees in six games.

McKeon, like Baker, was 72-years-old at the time that he won it all with the Marlins, but he was still a few months older at that time than Baker is now.
