When attending a sporting event, you are guaranteed to see some fans throwing hands at one another while sitting in the stands, for reasons known and unknown. This should not come as a surprise to any one. Well, we have another fight to share with you, this time in the college football world.

During Saturday’s West Virginia-Virginia Tech game, a few fans got into a brawl, as they punched, shoved and kicked each other.

For those of you looking for the results (no, not of the fight), we have you covered. The Mountaineers went on to defeat the Hokies by the narrow score of 27-21.

The Mountaineers carried a lead as large as 27-7 in the second half, but they watched as the Hokies bounced back with a 20-yard touchdown run by Raheem Blackshear and a 29-yard passing score from Braxton Burmeister to Jalen Holston. After Jarret Doege threw an interception with over two minutes remaining in regulation, Virginia Tech failed to capitalize when starting their drive in West Virginia territory after turning the ball over on downs in six plays.

Doege completed 15-of-26 pass attempts for 193 yards, two touchdowns and the aforementioned interception for West Virginia. Mountaineers running back Leddie Brown rushed for 161 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.

The game was a close one for the Mountaineers, as they now focus on facing the Oklahoma Sooners next week. Hopefully there are no brawls in the stands during that game.
