UFC London: Arnold Allen stops Dan Hooker for a wild first-round TKO (Video)

Arnold Allen stopped Dan Hooker for a wild first-round TKO.

It was a war early on with Allen getting the better of the exchanges. There was a moment the fight looked like it could end but Allen went for a head-scratching takedown and the action stalled giving Hooker a chance to recover.

They came back to the center of the Octagon and the onslaught began again leading the referee to step in and stop the fight in the very first round.

“I know you said I have to wrestle, but I know how hard I hit,” Allen told Michael Bisping after his win.

Allen was looking to extend his massive win streak and remain unbeaten in the UFC with a win over a huge name in Hooker.

Hooker, a fan favorite, was looking to rebound from his loss to Islam Makhachev at UFC 267.

Fans were worried about the performance of Hooker who they believed had a tough cut to 145 pounds.

This was the first event held abroad outside of Fight Island since the pandemic began and happened nearly 2 years to the day that UFC London 2020 was canceled.
