Skip Bayless was ALL-CAPS angry on Twitter after the Cowboys lost to the Steelers in a tight contest at AT&T Stadium, blaming the refs for the outcome.
Skip Bayless couldn’t contain himself on Twitter during the Cowboys’ loss to the Steeler’s on Sunday.
Dallas led Pittsburgh 19-9 going into the fourth quarter, but gave up 17 unanswered points in that final period.
Bayless and Cowboys fans, in general, were not pleased, but not specifically over the collapse. They were angry about calls that went against Dallas.
That wasn’t his only ALL-CAPS expression of frustration during the game.
Maybe the caps lock just got stuck?
Skip Bayless argued the Cowboys got robbed
The specific call referenced by Bayless involved Jaylon Smith putting his hand in Ben Roethlisberger’s face during the Steeler’s go-ahead touchdown drive.
On third-and-10, Roethlisberger threw an incompletion, but Smith was flagged for roughing the passer. The penalty extended the Steelers’ drive.
It wasn’t just that play of course. It may have been the most notable in terms of the flow of the game, but Cowboys fans believed the Steelers got the benefit of many a phantom call.
Dallas was hit with seven penalties for 70 yards while Pittsburgh had just three penalties for 16 yards.
The Steelers managed to get away with their undefeated record intact. They are now 8-0 and remain the only unblemished squad in the league.
The Cowboys, on the other hand, fell to 2-7 as a difficult season didn’t let up. Fourth-string quarterback Garrett Gilbert was called into action and had 243 yards passing with one touchdown and one interception.
Along with losing Dak Prescott and Andy Dalton to injury, most of the Cowboys’ original starting offensive line has ended up on injured reserve. A win over the Steelers would have felt good, but it wouldn’t have solved the bigger problems for the team.
