The 10 Best Medical Parody Music Videos

While compiling my list of the 10 greatest scientific music videos from the past decade, I came across dozens of parodies featuring doctors and medical staff. So that they don’t go unseen in my obscure YouTube playlist, here they are. ## In Clinic (2012) Similar in style to Bad Project, this is a parody of ‘Ni**as In Paris’ by Jay-Z & Kanye West. It was written/performed by Vanessa Prokuski, now a hand surgeon. ## Thrift Lab (2013) Based on ‘Thrift Shop’ by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, this stars technicians from the University of Florida Department of Pathology. It’s cheesy and charming. ## What Does the Spleen Do? (2013) One of several great videos from Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Dental Medicine, this parodies ‘The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)’ by Ylvis. ## I Don’t Know (2014) With singing is so good it snuck into the science list, this parody of ‘Let It Go’ from Frozen was produced for the University of Chicago School of Medicine. ## Ain’t the Way to Die (2015) While most videos are light-hearted, this one by Dr Zubin Damania (AKA ZDoggMD) has a series message.
