Why Toronto will reveal what workplace has a COVID outbreak

From an Amazon warehouse to an industrial bakery to a hot skin care brand and a circuit board manufacturer, there are several COVID-19 outbreaks in workplaces across the GTA, but information about where they are occurring is being shared in a haphazard manner.

After pressure from workplace advocates and health officials, Toronto authorities will now name businesses with outbreaks that pose a significant risk to public health. While it is a move toward transparency and is being welcomed by some, the city is only one part of the province and several other jurisdictions have yet to follow suit.
